An Integrated Health Campaign under the theme “My Health, My Wealth” was successfully conducted today at Shipgyer and Tung in Mangan district by the Mangan Rehabilitation Centre, in collaboration with the Sikkim State AIDS Control Society (SSACS) under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Sikkim.
The programme aimed to promote health awareness and encourage people to utilize free medical services at their doorstep, while also spreading awareness about HIV & STIs and reducing the stigma associated with testing.
Services provided included:
General health check-ups
HIV testing
Hepatitis B & C testing
Syphilis testing
Dental and eye check-ups
Free medicines
A total of 81 tests were conducted during the campaign.
The initiative received a positive response from the local community, highlighting the importance of accessible healthcare, early detection, and awareness in rural areas.
