, an Integrated Health Camp was successfully organized at Rumbuk, Sombaria on 24th March, followed by an outreach programme at Sailey Golai on 25th March.
This initiative was conducted with the support of the Sikkim State AIDS Control Society (SSACS) and the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Sikkim.
Objective:
To spread awareness about HIV & STIs and encourage people to come forward for testing without fear or stigma ![]()
Services Provided FREE of Cost:
HIV, Hepatitis B & C, and Syphilis testing
TB screening
Blood Pressure (BP) check-up
Random Blood Sugar (RBS) testing
Dental & Eye check-ups ![]()

Impact:
Rumbuk (24th March): 128 tests conducted
Sailey Golai (25th March): 25 tests conducted
The programme was coordinated by Hissey Doma Sherpa, Social Welfare Inspector (WCDD), with active support from BDO, GPU President Sheela Subba, local panchayats, police personnel
, and dedicated medical teams from SSACS, Soreng, and Sombaria.
Patients requiring further treatment will be referred to hospitals in Geyzing and other centers for continued care.
This initiative highlights the importance of accessible healthcare and awareness services in rural communities, ensuring no one is left behind.
