Through such collaborative initiatives, SikkimSACS continues its responsibility of spreading scientifically accurate information, addressing misconceptions related to HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, and encouraging early prevention and responsible behaviour.
An informative session was conducted focusing on drug abuse, its causes, and long-term consequences, which helped participants gain clarity and correct understanding of substance dependency and its social impact.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Registrar Bhumika Chettri highlighted the harmful effects of alcohol and drug addiction on individuals, families, and society, stressing the importance of avoiding addictive substances and adopting a healthy, disciplined lifestyle.
Further strengthening the awareness efforts, ARCS Riwaj Cintury delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation on various types of drugs and substances, their physical and psychological effects, and the long-term risks associated with substance abuse.
