The second phase of the Intensified Information, Education & Communication (IEC) Campaign was observed at Jorethang Community Health Centre (CHC) on 12th August 2025. The event was organized by the OST (Opioid Substitution Therapy) Centre under the leadership of Dr. Deki Wangmu Phempu, Project Director, Sikkim State AIDS Control Society (SSACS).
The program was specifically oriented towards Group C and D health workers of the hospital. It aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and the HIV/AIDS (Prevention and Control) Act, 2017.
Highlights of the program included an interactive quiz session and an engaging educational skit performed by Dasharthik Sangh, Gelling. The skit was both informative and entertaining, effectively conveying key messages on HIV prevention and stigma reduction.
The session was interactive and well-received, contributing significantly to sensitizing healthcare workers at the grassroots level.
