From 9th to 11th September 2025, the Sikkim State AIDS Control Society (SSACS) successfully conducted a Three-Day Induction-cum-Refresher Training on Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST) with Buprenorphine at Taj Guras Kutir, Pangthang.
The program aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of doctors, program staff, and implementing partners in managing OST services effectively, with a focus on both clinical and psychosocial aspects of care.

Keynote Address by Dr. Diki Wangmu Phempu, Project Director, SSACS, emphasizing the importance of integrated OST services in Sikkim.
Master of Ceremony (MC) by Mr. Pranai Thapa, FHI India, who facilitated the inaugural session and introduced key speakers.
Training Sessions covering OST principles, pharmacology of Buprenorphine, local drug use trends, mental health interventions, and program management.
