An Integrated Health Campaign under the theme “My Health, My Wealth” was successfully organised at the 32 Number Dumping Yard GMC worksite area
, focusing on improving access to healthcare services
and spreading awareness among workers and the local community ![]()

The programme was organised by the Recovering Users Network with support from the Sikkim State AIDS Control Society under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Sikkim
.
The campaign provided a range of free services including basic health screening
and general medical checkups. Special testing facilities for hepatitis B and C, syphilis, and HIV
were made available. A total of 89 tests were conducted during the camp
. In addition, free dental
and eye
checkups were carried out, and essential medicines
were distributed to the beneficiaries.
Alongside medical services, the campaign strongly focused on awareness and education
. Sessions were held to inform people about HIV and AIDS prevention, encouraging safe practices
, early testing
, and reducing stigma and discrimination
. The programme also addressed the issue of drug and alcohol abuse ![]()
, promoting healthier lifestyle choices ![]()
among participants.
Counselling and referral services
were also provided to individuals requiring further medical attention or support. The camp saw active participation from workers and local residents
