On 12th August 2025, the second round of the Intensified IEC Campaign was launched at Namchi District Hospital in observance of International Youth Day. The event was graced by Chief Medical Officer Dr. S. N. Adhikari as the Chief Guest.
Two impactful sessions were conducted:
🎭 Session 1: For Group C & D health staff
Dasharthik Sangh performed an engaging skit on HIV/AIDS awareness, encouraging prevention and control.
Dr. Ganesh Rai spoke on the HIV/AIDS Prevention & Control Act, 2017.
Dr. Dichen Bhutia led a MOM session, highlighting the importance of mental health.
👩⚕️ Session 2: For Medical Officers I/C
Dr. Meeshoo Chettri addressed the group on the Prevention & Control Act 2017, stressing awareness, counselling, and testing to tackle rising HIV cases.
🫡 The program was held under the leadership of Dr. Deki Wangmu Phempu, Project Director, Sikkim SSACS.
