A review meeting organized by the Care, Support & Treatment (CST) Division of the Sikkim State AIDS Control Society (SSACS) was held on 28th May 2025 at the SSACS Meeting Hall.
The meeting was led by AD (CST) Ms. Meena Bhattarai and chaired by Dr. Deki Wangmu Phempu, Project Director, SSACS. The primary agenda was to review the existing services under NACP Phase V and assess the progress of activities carried out by Outreach Workers (ORWs) and Community Liaison Helpers (CLHs) since their induction.
ORWs and CLHs play a critical role in tracing Opted-Out and Lost to Follow-Up (LFU) cases, facilitating their return to Antiretroviral Therapy (ART), and ensuring continuity of care.
Mr. Balaram Thapa, Data Manager at the ART Centre, STNM Hospital, presented the current state-level HIV/AIDS scenario, providing key insights into trends and performance indicators.
The meeting also saw participation from the CRH team, who provided an orientation on the functioning of their newly established ART Centre.
All section heads of SSACS were in attendance, contributing to productive discussions aimed at identifying challenges and formulating actionable solutions to strengthen the ongoing efforts under CST and NACP V.
